
WHO IS THIS?
Jackie Skinner is a comedic performance artist. silly and stupid, but earnest, from Waltham, Massachusetts, now based in Los Angeles. Recently, their show “Jackie and Allison Into the Multiverse” toured comedy festivals all over the US (and Canada: Toronto and Montreal), was featured in the Boston Globe as “elevating absurdity to art,” and was the WINNER of BEST COMEDY at the 2025 New York City Fringe Festival.
With an improv, sketch, clown, stand-up background - Jackie's performed her comedic solo works all over the USA - including at Chicago Sketchfest, Austin Sketchfest, Boston Comedy Arts Festival, iO's Bentwood Comedy Festival, Seattle's Highlarious Comedy Festival, Crossroads Comedy Festival, UCB NY, Magnet Theater NYC, PIT NYC, and several others.
She debuted her piece Beautiful Woman as a work-in-progress at Edinburgh Fringe 2024 and performed a piece as part of the award-winning variety show Piggy Time.
You can catch Jackie performing at venues all over LA, including the Lyric Hyperion and the Elysian. She produces a weekly work-in-progress night for LA clowns, while she working on her own tortured works. The dream is to find brand-spankin new ways to make an audience feel something. During her time in NYC, she performed at the Magnet Theater every Wednesday night with her improv team Behemoth and every Friday night with her weekend sketch team: The Executives. She’s performed her solo character show, Lies We Tell Ourselves, at UCB Hell’s Kitchen, PIT Solocom, Improv Boston, Chicago Sketchfest, and Austin Sketchfest. She has been studying improv since Fall 2014 at the Hideout and Institution theaters in Austin, Second City in Chicago, and Magnet in NYC. Having also studied sketch comedy at Second City, she has written and performed sketch at NYC's UCB, Magnet, PIT, BCC, and Reckless theaters.
In addition to clown and un-labeled, comedic performances, Jackie can be seen standing-up doing comedy around LA. She's performed shows and festivals all over the US, including the Boston Comedy Arts Festival, iO Chicago’s Comedy Festival, Seattle’s Highlarious Comedy Festival, Indianapolis Comedy Festival, and Funniest Person in Austin.
Jackie began amateur singing and dancing in 1994 alongside her sister, Catherine, performing self-choreographed routines in the Skinner-family kitchen during dinnertime in Waltham, Massachusetts.
